Sara Keller is a Fibers Artist and Costume Designer from Chicago Illinois. She is a graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Fibers. Sara currently studies Costume Design in the MFA Costume Program at Ohio University. She has spent many years practicing garment construction and fabric dyeing as well as historical costuming. She also enjoys crafting objects and soft sculptures that focus on form and materiality. Process is an overarching theme in all of her work ranging from complicated, time intensive procedures to repetitive accumulation of materials. She works with repeated imagery and processes to convey both her designs and her studio practices. These meditative techniques allow for self reflection and perfection of craft.
