Sara Keller is a Fibers artist and Costume Designer from Chicago IL. She is a graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Fibers. She has spent many years studying garment construction and fabric dyeing as well as historical costuming. She also enjoys crafting objects and soft sculptures that focus on form and materiality. Process, however, is an overarching theme in all of her work ranging from complicated, time intensive procedures to repetitive accumulation of materials. She works with repeated imagery and processes to convey both her designs and her studio practice. These meditative techniques allow for self reflection and a perfection of craft.
